NURSERY ACTIVITIES TO DO AT HOME:
Bake a cake/cupcakes/biscuits/something healthy/pizza/sandwiches (use a child safe eating knife to spread the butter, cream cheese, jam, chocolate spread)
Make playdough – search online for recipes
Draw a picture of your family
Go on youtube kids and type ‘stories for 4 year olds’
Go on youtube kids and type ‘songs for 4 year olds’
Learn to write your name, start with the first letter and then when you can do this, move onto the next letter
Play a board game
Fill you sink with water and washing up liquid and make bubbles (with an adult!). If you have any toy plastic animals that can get wet add them in too.
Sprinkle flour on a worktop and practise writing your name/ draw a picture / draw wiggly lines, zig zags, circles, swirls, waves/shape/letters/numbers
Go on a spring walk and take photos of what you see
Read a book and act it out with cuddly toys
Sing nursery rhymes and make your own nursery rhyme characters e.g. Incy Wincy spider, Baa baa black sheep, Humpty Dumpty,
Sing number rhymes e.g. 5 little ducks/5 little speckled frogs
Explore dressing up in different clothes
Make music with pots and pans
Most importantly, stay safe and have fun!

VE Day – Friday 8th May
Please celebrate VE Day at home with your family on Friday 8th May. We would love to see photographs of your celebrations that we can include in the newsletter over the next few weeks. There are lots of ideas of how to make war time cakes and bunting and a suggestion of having a indoor family picnic in the link below. Don’t forget we learnt lots of wartime song in assembly – maybe you can teach one of these to someone at home!
